Ahead of this school year we are thrilled to launch our Summer campaign, Pad the Bus, in support of Communities In Schools.
While CIS is having their annual Fill the Bus fundraiser, where they are asking for traditional school supplies; we are going to do what we do best and ask you to Pad the Bus with us. We are focusing on the fact that period supplies ARE school supplies.
Let’s face it, if you have your pens, markers and books all ready to go but happen to get your period on your way to class; what do you do? Well, if you don’t have a maxi pad then you probably aren’t going or you’re going but you don’t feel confident.
One in four girls miss school for the length of their period each month because they don’t have proper period supplies. Help us Pad the Bus to ensure every student has the supplies they need to stay in school, during their period, every month.
Thanks to the generous sponsorship of Southern Hills Hospital, from June 26th to July 21st you can drop your donation of maxi pads to these three locations:
Southern Hills Hospital: 9300 W. Sunset Rd.
The ER at the Lakes: 3325 S. Ft Apache
The ER at Las Vegas Blvd: 10770 Las Vegas Blvd. South
We are looking for donations of all individually wrapped maxi pads. We will be delivering these pads to Communities In Schools Fill the Bus event on July 27th. We are also asking for monetary donations. You can donate via our website under the Pad the Bus link on our main page.
Southern Hills Hospital will also be doing a pad match. This means they will match your maxi pad donation, pad for pad, up to 20,000 pads!
So let’s do this Period Posse! Period supplies are school supplies and thanks to your generosity no student will miss school this year because they don’t have proper supplies. PERIOD.
