Our friends at Downtown Summerlin are hosting a fundraiser for us on September 30th from 6:00 – 9:00pm. This event will start with a relaxing yoga session fit for all levels. Then, while staying on the lawn, we will transition into watching the 80’s cult classic Sixteen Candles! Who can forget with Samantha Baker got her period, when the nerd got her underwear, or every 80’s teenage girl’s dream guy…Jake Ryan?!?!
Corks and Crafts will be pre-selling a wine/charcuterie/popcorn box for you to enjoy while watching the movie and they have been generous enough to donate part of the proceeds back to us.
This is a free event with a suggested donation of $10. $10 is what it costs to sponsor someone’s period for the month. PERFECT!
So please come out and enjoy a relaxing evening with your friends; stretching, eating and reliving Samantha’s most embarrassing moments of her 16th birthday all while supporting menstruators in our community of Southern Nevada. PERIOD.
